Countdown to the 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship

Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2018 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. Multiple volunteer shifts will be available throughout the week.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Walking Scorer:

Responsible for keeping the players’ unofficial scores on an electronic hand-held device. These volunteers will walk 18 holes with a group. Knowledge of golf required.

Scoreboard Volunteers:

Works with the official scorer in displaying all hole-by-hole scores on the championship scoreboard. This position requires a lot of reaching and bending, but there is no walking.

Status Board Volunteers:

Positioned at one of the status boards on the golf course, these volunteers will display the status of each match. This position requires a lot of bending and reaching (sunglasses recommended).

Access Control:

Act as greeters welcoming guests at locations around the Clubhouse and grounds and will check championship credentials.

Standard Bearers:

Will walk with each group in match play and carry a sign displaying the status of the match. *Standard weighs 15 pounds*

Marshals/Spotters:

Direct the gallery, help with player and spectator safety and assist the players in locating their golf balls.
